Baylor Business’ Alumni are Creating a Bright Future for our Students!
The Hankamer School of Business is making great strides toward our $125 million goal for Baylor University’s Give Light campaign, with more than $76 million raised so far. Since the campaign’s start, Baylor Business alumni have given more than $47.5 million to support the School’s initiatives through gifts, pledges and through their estates.
“Our Hankamer School of Business alumni are answering our call to support the Give Light Campaign and help make Baylor Business’ future truly bright,” Hankamer School of Business Dean Terry Maness said. “I am proud of these alumni, and the parents and friends who have joined them, who are creating opportunities for our future business leaders through their generous support. We are making great strides forward, and I hope our alumni who have not yet made their campaign gifts will join their former classmates in giving to see Baylor Business succeed.”
There is further to go. The School will need the support of its 32,829 alumni to successfully meet its goals of funding new faculty positions, scholarships, programming and undergraduate and graduate-level research.
Baylor Business alumni can join together in support of the School this year through a gift to the Terry S. Maness Endowed Scholarship Fund in Business. Dr. Maness will retire this summer after 23 years of service and leadership as Dean of the Hankamer School of Business. During that time, and in his many years of teaching since joining the faculty in 1972, Dean Maness has forged lasting relationships that inspire, encourage and propel forward the careers and lives of his students, alumni and faculty.
A Baylor alum established the Maness Scholarship in 2017 in appreciation for Dean Maness’ enduring mentorship and service to Baylor. Given to students based on merit and need, the Maness Scholarship provides support for deserving Business students who are looking to fulfill God’s calling on their lives at Baylor, but for whom that Baylor journey is possible only through the support of scholarships.
