Dean’s Message
The Hankamer School of Business is in a prime position after Baylor obtained R1 Research status late last year. We are excited about the doors this will open to conduct impactful research.
Here in the Business School, we strive to make lasting changes to improve the lives of those in our community, nation and the world at large. We do this through purposeful research, experiential learning opportunities and a Christ-centered mission.
Our faculty and students have made significant contributions to Baylor’s recent promotion to Research I status, including a faculty member’s study on the use of technology in fighting human trafficking. We are promoting hands-on learning for our students, most notably by creating a program encouraging undergraduate involvement in research projects. And through it all, we focus our efforts on Christ, as seen by the incredible stories of our students and alumni.
In this issue of Baylor Business Review, we highlight the societal impact our students, faculty, staff and alumni are making in the world around us. We are excited to continue to expand on the foundation built and further distinguish the reputation of the Business School as we set out in this new age.
