Baylor MBA Program Receives High Marks in Bloomberg Businessweek Rankings
Bloomberg Businessweek ranked the Hankamer School of Business MBA program No. 52 among U.S. based, full-time MBA programs by. The rankings were determined by a methodology that assessed four different categories: compensation, networking, learning and entrepreneurship. Using this methodology, Baylor’s MBA program was ranked No. 6 in the learning category.
Baylor Hosts 12th Annual National MBA Case Competition in Ethical Leadership
The 12th Annual National MBA Case Competition, hosted by Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business, was held in November. It gave students from 12 university MBA programs the opportunity to present their analyses and recommendations for ethical leadership in response to a case study.
Baylor University Team Named Regional Winner of Deloitte’s Audit Innovation Campus Challenge
The six-member student team from Baylor University was named as one of two regional winners of Deloitte’s Audit Innovation Campus Challenge (AICC). Teams representing 50 colleges and universities across the country participated in the regional competitions in November.
Baylor Accounting Partners with University High School, Serves the Waco Community through VITA Program
Accounting students teamed up with high school students enrolled at University High School to offer free tax help to those in the community who needed assistance in preparing tax returns. The students prepared nearly 1,500 returns during their volunteer hours.

Baylor Graduate Programs Ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 Edition of Best Graduate Schools
In the 2020 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings, Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business moved up to No. 57 among the U.S. News Best Business Schools. The graduate program in Entrepreneurship was ranked No. 24 in the nation. The online MBA program was ranked No. 73 nationally. In addition, the MBA in Healthcare Administration, a specialization in the MBA program, was ranked No. 17 in the nation.
Accounting Professor Tim Thomasson Earns Outstanding Accounting Educator Award
Timothy Thomasson, clinical associate professor and undergraduate Accounting adviser, was named a 2018 recipient of the Texas Society of CPAs’ Outstanding Accounting Educator Award. The statewide award honors Texans who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and who have distinguished themselves through active service to the accounting profession.

Baylor University Honors Outstanding Staff for Service ‘Above and Beyond’
Baylor University honored Brianna Hensley, program manager for the Center for Professional Selling in the department of Marketing in the Hankamer School of Business with an Outstanding Staff Award in March. She was one of only seven recipients. The annual awards recognize exceptional staff who go above and beyond expectations in their roles to support the University’s mission of integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within a caring community.

Baylor Business Student Team Wins Southwest Region’s CFA Investment Research Challenge
A student team from the Hankamer School of Business won first place at the Southwest Region’s Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Investment Research Challenge, which was held at the University of Texas – San Antonio in February. The challenge is a part of the Texas Investment Portfolio Symposium (TIPS).
Hankamer School of Business Hosts the Baylor Business Negotiation Competition
The Hankamer School of Business hosted the Baylor Business Negotiation Competition in April. The Baylor team won first place in the competition out of nine competing schools. The Baylor Business Negotiation Competition is the only negotiation competition in the U.S. tailored directly to business and communication majors.

Baylor University hosted the Texas Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Student Conference and Games in April. The Baylor team won second place out of 11 competing schools.
ProSales Team Wins 3rd Place at the 21st Annual National Collegiate Sales Competition
A ProSales team from the Hankamer School of Business won third place at the 21st Annual National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) at Kennesaw State University in April. The Baylor team competed against 144 students from 72 universities.
