Baylor University held its first Homecoming in 1909, and graduates are still returning to campus to celebrate more than a century later. Homecoming 2011 will be held on the weekend of November 4-5.
“Homecoming is a wonderful time to celebrate our roots and reconnect with friends,” said Terry Maness, dean of the Hankamer School of Business. “While alumni have taken different paths professionally, they all have the common bond of their days at Baylor and at Hankamer.”
Smooth jazz music will direct you to the Hankamer School of Business homecoming reception. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served at this event, where you can mix and mingle with friends, alumni, and business school faculty and staff. The reception will be the evening of Friday, Nov. 4, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. outside the business school on the Speight Avenue Plaza adjacent to the entrance of the John Graham Jones Student Center.

Be sure to take the self-guided tour of the Hankamer School of Business using interactive checkpoints located at seven key locations within the School. Use a social media platform platform (like Foursquare, Gowalla or Facebook) to “check in” at the key locations. You may also scan QR codes on the tour signs to view new multimedia extras, enriching the tour experience. Also, keep an eye on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/baylorbusiness) and Twitter account (http://twitter.com/Baylor_Business) for an opportunity to win a Kindle at Homecoming.
As we celebrate and observe Homecoming traditions, we also anticipate the future of the Hankamer School of Business, and the importance of your involvement becomes even more apparent-whether it is as a current student, alumnus, parent, faculty or staff member, donor or friend. We hope you will return to campus this year to join us in experiencing the events of Baylor Homecoming 2011.
